Abstract
Disclosed is a wireless communication system and method for its use. In certain embodiments, Wi-Fi packets and Bluetooth packets are transmitted between multiple devices including pods, smartphones, computing devices, and appliances. Data transmitted over the system may include notifications and commands generated by users. In certain embodiments, voice data can be transmitted over the system and used to input data into electronic records.

This application is a continuation-in-part of, and claims the benefit of, U.S. patent application Ser. No. 15/672,283, filed on Aug. 8, 2017, which is a continuation-in-part of U.S. application Ser. No. 15/255,131 filed on Sep. 1, 2016, now U.S. Pat. No. 9,788,144. The aforementioned applications and patents are incorporated herein by reference.
Background
Wireless communication modalities present numerous challenges to users. Devices, such as pagers and handheld radios are bulky, expensive, and often lack hands-free functionality. These limitations are a challenge to users who desire lightweight, convenient, cheaper devices with true hands-free functionality.
